 How the diet works:

  • the diet adjusts the urine pH and maintains it in the range of 5.5 - 6.2

A very important part of the treatment of patients with struvite urolithiasis is the choice of the right food. Proper food helps to return the urine pH back to the optimal range and dissolve existing struvite stones. Because of reduced levels of minerals, there is minimal chance for the formation of new crystals.

These special requirements are met by the complete food EMINENT VETERINARY DIET DOG STRUVITE. One of the functional components of the food are cranber­ries, which contain proanthocyanidins. These substances have the ability to stop bacteria from sticking to the bladder walls and forming colonies, thus preventing bacterial infections of the entire excretory system.

Results have shown that after 2 months of being fed this diet, 84 % of dogs have no struvite stones in the urinary tract and the pH of urine is at the proper range. The health status of dogs is improved and there are no other clinical signs of urinary tract diseases.

 

 

Indication: pathological struvite urolithiasis and alkaline pH of the urine.

Contraindications: do not use simultaneously with other urine acidifiers. Do not use for puppies or pregnant and nursing dogs.

Ingredients: rice, maize, dehydrated pork meat, chicken fat, maize germs, hydrolyzed animal protein, coconut oil, flaxseed, orthophosphoric acid, taurine, vegetable fiber, L-carnitine, glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, MOS (mannanoligosaccharides), mixture of herbs and algae (Urtica dioica, Echinacea purpurea, Ascophyllum nodosum) 0.36 %, cranberry extract 0.01%, additives (vitamins, trace elements, amino acids).
